Slovenia Gets Ready for Big Muaythai

A very productive meeting took place at the Mayor's Office in the City of Ljubljana between the Deputy Mayor Mr. Damjan Crnek, Mag. Janez Sodrznik, First Vice President Of Slovenian Olympic Committee, and President of the Slovenian Muaythai Federation, Iztok Vorkapic.

 

The subject of the discussion was an important event for the Adriatic region, a muaythai event which will promote sport in the region and give a positive impact to the many youth training muaythai in Slovenia. 

 

Autumn this year was chosen for the ALPE ADRIA CUP which will will see its first edition inviting European countries to the beautiful Slovenian capital Ljubljana. The cooperation between the city, Olympic Committee and the National Federation is a key to holding an event of any level and the ALPE ADRIA CUP will be a great step towards major sports events.

 

The president of Slovenian Muaythai federation expresses gratitude to Mr. Crnek and Mr. Sodraznik for making this meeting at Ljubljana city hall possible. The Slovenian Muaythai federation is also very glad that both Ljubljana and NOC have expressed interest in helping this event become a reality. Both the municipality and NOC have congratulated the federation and its athletes for their achievements and promotion of the country of Slovenia.
