The Swedish Muaythai Federation announced the team roster for the European Muaythai Championships 2019, Minsk 3-11 November.
Again the top Swedish athletes are given the spot in the team with Sofia Olofsson leading the team taking her 54kg division. She has owned this division for many years and in Minsk, she will definitely want to keep the crown.
Patricia Axling after her spectacular performance in Bangkok winning the WMC Super 4 in honour of His Majesty the King Birthday proving her high rank after she was stopped in the World Championships 2019. The European Championships in Minsk can be her come back to the top of IFMA rankings.
Angela Mamic is confirmed in the 71 kg division, and she will want a rematch after the Nordic final in Bangkok as Anna Rantanen (FIN) pulled out the victory in the spectacular bout.
Nicholas Bryant made a sensation in Bangkok kicking out Wiwat Khamta (THA) of the competition. It was a statement to go all the way to the top but Nicholas got to the semi-final where the captain of the Russian team Aleksand Abramov. Even winning silver Nicholas will definitely be regarded as one of the contenders for gold after winning the Athlete of the Month 2017.
Team Sweden is bringing the elite athletes and will be a team to follow in Minsk!
